Edysha has been practicing in the vijnana Yoga tradition for 10 years now. This practice guides us into our unfolding wisdom by inviting us to let go of striving, connect with awareness and move from within. This all level class integrates the Vital Principles, the Vayus and the Tensegrity Repair Series, exploring the layers of the bodies. Though listening and acceptance of 'what is' we can allow the body to self-heal. A strong component of Vijnana yoga is the Tensegrity Repair Series. The word tensegrity (tensile integrity) was created by architect Buckminster Fuller. It refers to structures where strength and stability are achieved though a balance between tension and compression elements.
The same dynamics can be found in the human body. The myofacia (muscles and facia) act as tension elements, pulling on the bones, the compression elements. Which in turn hold the myofascia network in their tensile web, the living matrix. This structure is how our energy flows throughout our system. The super highways of the living matrix are known as the Myofacial Energy Meridians. When these meridians are damaged there is a lack of natural communication throughout our system, causing the body to move in fragmented ways emotionally, mentally, and physically.
The Tensegrity Repair Series includes a sequence of movements designed to bring the energetic body back into its original state of balance through the myofacial meridians lines. Bringing tensegrity back into the body allows us to heal and unwind energy blockages, stagnations, excess tension and pain. It is a pathway to restoring our natural alignment within our living matrix, allowing us to move with ease and grace through a free and grounded energy system.

She also offers classes at Unity Yoga in Vancouver.
